Musings On the Full Moon in Libra

Happy Full Moon in Libra~

On the heels of eclipse season this full Moon in Libra highlights Venus’ station direct. Venus rules the sign of Libra, and has been retrograde fooooooreeeeever! Well, at least since the beginning of March.  In the midst of all of that, Mercury retrograded, and stationed direct,  Neptune moved into Aries, , Venus came into a conjunction with Saturn, and they both met up with the North Node of the Moon. 

With the personal planets direct, and Neptune’s ingress into Aries, we can see this as a bit of a threshold moment, in which life’s forward momentum will begin to increase.  We’ve been on a pause, and if your natal chart has been significantly touched by these retrogrades, there’s been an undoing of sorts… a whittling away down to the core of the relationship issues that may prevent the experience of serenity. 

Venus is the goddess of long sighs derived from pleasant moments, shared love, beauty, and all things pleasant. When retrograde we delve into a review of our values, relationships, and sense of peace.

Opposing the Moon, Chiron conjuncts the Sun from Aries.  Are you seeing the way that fear, or anger threatens to sabotage relationships? Going deeper, the core wound of Chiron was one of abandonment.  Are you seeing defense mechanisms activated inside of yourself  in order to protect deep core wounds that get triggered in relationships?  

That’s the work that’s up for us now. How can we be rightly aligned  in partnership, and also honor ourselves?  If you’re really feeling this one, as painful as this time can be, there are deep insights available now, if you’re willing to be with the process. That’s exactly what we’re being asked to do with Mars in Cancer square the Full Moon and trine its ruler.  We’re feeling all the feels, and tracing them back to their origins to understand and heal the root of our suffering.  Saturn asks us to align our values with integrity, and to be honest and realistic about what’s coming up for us. In this way we open ourselves to the insights needed for healing.

We can do hard things!  And, with the full Moon in Libra, coping strategies include beauty, friendship, and art!  So, make something beautiful, enjoy something beautiful, connect with loved ones.
