It’s fitting for a Sagittarian Moon to be a Blue Moon! (the second Full Moon in the same month… rare indeed) This is the sign of opportunity, of adventure, of seeking. It’s the home of Gypsy souls, scholars, and philosophers.
It’s here we ask the big questions. It’s here we deduce the meaning of life. It’s here we throw a dart on the map, caution to the wind, and lace up our hiking boots to wander.
Underneath all of that lies a common theme. I’ve found that at the heart of Sagittarius lies sweet longing. Soul longing. An inexplicable hunger for Life, for connection with the Divine, for understanding that lends meaning to existence.
So on this beautiful blue Moon, when synchronicities and opportunities present themselves, the key is to feel the longing in our souls. That which we value most will guide us. To what?
Opposite this glorious Moon, the Sun and Uranus together beam their light. In Gemini these two are cohorts in revealing messages and insights about our true identity. What does it look like to be true to who I am, when I’m radically honest with myself about what I want, and who I want to be?
Jupiter rules this Moon. When the Sun is setting, and the sky turns that gorgeous indigo color, and the first stars begin to appear, go outside and look to the West. Above horizon you’ll see Jupiter and Venus. Each night they inch their way closer to one another. Their meeting will be exact on June 9. Between now and then we get to witness their sacred dance towards each other.
Venus, planet of beauty and love. The one who teaches us what we truly value. Jupiter, jovial bringer of opportunity. Together look for blessings. Look for life offering us the very things that are dear to our hearts. And let’s have the courage to say yes, thank you!
It does take courage and tenacity to reach out and say yes. Courage to take the very first step, which is being honest about who we really are, and what we really long for. Ultimately, it is a longing that brings us closer to Source, the Creator, whose breath echoes in our souls. It is a longing that brings us home within Ourselves.
Wishing you a happy Full Moon, Blue Moon in Sagittarius. Enjoy this rare beauty, and enjoy the rare beauty of you!
