Aloha Fam,

Greetings and Happy New Moon in Capricorn!  Wow, what an amazing lineup we have with the New Moon flanked by Venus and Pluto in Aquarius on one side, and Mars and Mercury in Capricorn on the other.

First, a bit about Capricorn’s archetypal energy.  The Wise Grandmother, the Hermit, and the Prime Minister. How does the wise grandmother become wise?  She has lived long enough to face challenges, and overcome them.  She has weathered storms, and she has the scars to prove it. She has fallen from grace, and returned, time and time again, each time rising stronger.  She’s learned not to let her circumstances, relationships, or the stories of the past define her.  Rather, she lives her life with integrity, which I’ll define here as the choice to let one’s values and goals determine one's actions.

The Hermit, in seclusion, finds comfort. Lonely? Maybe sometimes.  But also comfortable with the notion that at the end of it all, it comes down to our relationship with our own soul. Capricorn energy pulls us within so that we may define the edges of our own boundaries, and differentiate between ourselves and the rest of the world.  We gain focus, and clarity of intention, so that we can accomplish our work and purpose in the world without being swayed by outside forces.   Capricorn may not always literally need time alone, (although that can be a valuable tool), but in the end it's the lone feeling of self-reliance.

The Prime Minister, an authority figure, reminds us of the need for autonomy, and to be the author of our own lives through the choices and actions we make and take. No more blame, no more outsourcing responsibility to others, no more victimhood.  We are our own, sovereign beings, and the creators of our lives. We co-create our existence with the Divine.

So, Capricorn: integrity, autonomy, goals, hard work, dedication, discipline, mountains. A Sea-Goat… able to climb the highest heights and dive to the deepest depths. Unstoppable!

This is the energy of the New Moon.  We’re planting Capricornian seeds. What goals, what work is calling you to it?  How will you answer that call? Some time in solitude and attitudes of determination are allies now.

Let’s talk about the planetary allies of the New Moon! Venus and Pluto in Aquarius purify our values.  Together they teach us how to be in relationships with complete honesty for who we are, what we need, and what we have to give.

Mercury conjunct Mars, infuses our thoughts  with the passion of our desires, and gives us the courage to speak our needs! It teaches us to express ourselves with courage. It gives us a determined mind. This is so beautiful!!!

Sextile Saturn and Neptune, we see this as a necessary step in the larger process of all that’s happening in our lives individually and collectively.  Letting what isn’t aligned fall away so that we can take an honest look at where we’re headed, and bring our dreams into reality.

Trine Uranus rx we can expect surprising plot twists to support us at this time.

And finally, thank goodness for this opposition from Jupiter, retrograde in Cancer.  We’re being shown that our own healing is central to all that we’re experiencing now.  That we can’t move forward in any capacity that would abandon, or decentralize our own soul needs. If we get so goal oriented that we neglect to nurture ourselves, we’ll be slowed down until we regain perspective.

Wow! What a special time. I hope that we can each be guided by the wisdom of our integrity, and that this will determine our next steps forward.

Happy New Moon!
