Musings On... the New Moon in Gemini

Happy New Moon in Gemini!  This is the sign of perception and observation.  It has to do with how we interpret the world, which of course is the foundation for the choices we make and the way we live. This New Moon is conjunct its ruler, Mercury, and Uranus, planet of breakdowns/breakthroughs and change.  

This New Moon wants to crack open neural pathways that have become too narrow, and free us to see life through a wider lens. 

There’s an integration wanting to happen, synthesizing the deeper work we’ve been doing for some time now. Forming harmonious aspects with Pluto in Aquarius, and the Saturn Neptune conjunction now in Aries, a piece of the puzzle we’ve been working on wants to fall into place to support our forward momentum. 

This is a time to release shame, guilt,worry, unconstructive judgment, martyrdom and victimhood. These mindsets are out the door.  And if you’re struggling with them now, you’re seeing what is ready to change. Instead, add a dose of compassion for the process of learning and growing.  It’s time to dream big, and set our sights on the opportunities that feel expansive and freeing.  It’s time to have the courage to fully shine.

The trick with Gemini is to remember that listening is (at least) just as important as the endless chatter of life that fills our days. In this case, insights may come in through the body’s wisdom, as Uranus moves into the final degrees of Taurus. It enters Gemini at the beginning of July. 

Jupiter too, is changing signs, and will move into Cancer June ninth, just before the Full Moon in Sagittarius. More on that next time. For now, Happy New Moon in Gemini!
