Ruled by Venus, this Taurean New Moon is an interesting one. Venus in Taurus connects us to Nature. Earthy, sensual, peaceful, simple, grounded… This is the invitation. And yet… Mars is resting on top of Chiron, and Mercury is conjunct Uranus in Gemini.
As Mars and Chiron meet in Aries, we’re invited to look at anger, and the wounds related to it… caused by it, or from it. I’ve heard it said that depression is anger turned inward. I’ve discovered that often anger is the cover letter for deep sadness.
Big feelings may surface, and rather than getting caught up in them, the idea is to follow them, letting curiosity lead. This is a time… As Mercury just left the heart of the Sun, and ventures to collaborate with Uranus, god of lightning bolts and earthquakes… It's a time when breakthroughs in our thinking and communication are available to us. Epiphanies, messages, and sudden realizations can happen. Breakdowns can too.
We are human. Forgiveness for self and others is supportive, as is continued effort towards pattern recognition and change. This astrology supports all of that.
If at all possible, I highly recommend time in nature, she’s a little extra sparkly during Taurean times. Rest in that beauty. Spend time with animals, in silence, and with music. Nourish the body with good food, and the simple pleasures of the physical world. After all, being on this planet, in a body, is a gift. Surround yourself with beauty. Seek serenity in small ways. In this way we learn how to be human, while resourcing ourselves for the work of this blessed task.
