Where to begin?!  Well, Let’s start at the beginning of the zodiac, with the sign of Aries.  Happy Full Moon in Aries!  Like the spark that ignites the engine, the energy of Aries is initiatory, and fiery! It’s a cardinal sign, which means it gets things going!   It is the inspiration, the first oomph that momentum is made from.

It takes willpower, courage, and drive to push forward in life.  It takes a willingness to set boundaries, to apply self-focus, and to not shy away from confrontation from time to time.  Aries is tough!  It’s The Ram, ready to charge!  Fear? Sure.  Will that stop Aries? No way. Stress is implied… It's fodder for growth.

Okaaayyy.. So this Full Moon in Aries is a culmination of lessons learned during eclipse season that are ready to be put into practice.  We just came through two eclipses that brought us face to face with our blind spots and karmic patterning in relationships.  We got to see what our default mode is, and how it’s outdated. Time to step up, stand up, and act assertively, and with courage.  Conjunct Chiron, archetypically known as The Wounded Healer, we know we’re taking a closer look at conditioned wounding that’s ready for healing, so that we may bring our gifts into the world.

A few significant events along with the Full Moon:

Pluto Direct:

First, as I type, Pluto has just stationed direct.  Between now and November 19 Pluto finishes up time in the sign of Capricorn.  This is the last time Pluto will occupy this sign in our lifetimes. This is big!  Capricorn is the scaffolding of the structure.  It’s the bones of the body. Pluto dismantles so things can be transformed.  This is the final sweep of  outdated structures in our lives that need to be removed so that we can rebuild innovatively. Pluto's ultimate goal in Capricorn is that we claim autonomy in our lives by taking responsibilty for ourselves.

Grand Cross:

Here’s the crux of this Full Moon, we have a cardinal grand cross in the sky.  That means all of the cardinal signs,  Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn, are occupied with planets aspecting one another..  If you have planets or angles in these signs.. Please pay attention!

There’s tension in the air as two sets of planets play tug of war at the same time. Moon-Aries opposite Sun-Libra. And Mars-Cancer opposite Pluto-Aquarius.

So what’s it all about?

First, We know that a Moon/Sun opposition is what creates a full Moon.  It’s a time of ripening, and fruit bearing… things coming into the fullness of fruition.

Mars rules this Full Moon.  This planet has had our attention for some time now as the ruler of the North Node.  Meaning, it's been our guiding light during eclipse season… and now, our North Star for the full Moon!  In Cancer… the Great Mother, we’re looking at healing, and nurturing ourselves emotionally, psychologically, and in our hearts. This is step one, and it requires doing our Mars!  Courage, assertiveness, ambition!  Step two is knowing that healing ourselves brings healing to our home, family, and roots, which is also the terrain of Cancer.

Mars in Cancer is Mama Bear energy!  How can you bring more of that into your life in a way that’s healing to your soul?  Where is this needed?  Particularly within the context of relationships.  How can show up for yourself more, with better boundaries, etc… Thriving relationships is a bonus!

Side note:  Cancer rules the stomach… with Mars here at the full Moon it's time to take good care of the tumtum… warm, nourishing, nutritious  food is so supportive now!  This could also feel like butterflies in the tummy, when we need to do something (such as confronting a situation, or stand up for ourselves) that feels intimidating. Mars feels fear, but doesn’t allow it to rule. A few more themes to contemplate: Mother-issues, how your needs were met (or not) in early childhood, the homesetting (both then and now), and themes around nourishment.

Mars opposite Pluto (part of the Grand Cross):

Ok… so… When Mars opposes Pluto, power struggles often ensue.  This is a tough one, as Mars wants its own way, and Pluto is the ultimate authority (save the Sun).  There’s a lot of heat in this configuration!  In fact, it might all just feel like one giant hot flash! (boo, haha)

Remember, Pluto is dismantling the last bits of the old… we may feel we’re up against a brick wall in some situation that feels repetitive and too stuck to move. But remember, Mars/Ram energy.. Just keep charging!   There’s so much tension here.. But there’s magic in the tension! Ultimate goal: Courage to heal by cliaming autonomy for our lives through takign responsibility for ourselves. No more martyrdom, co-dependancey, or expecting anyone else to save us.

Moon/Mars are in mutual reception.

That means they’re in each other’s homes. (Mars is at home in Aries, and the Moon is at home in Cancer).  There’s cooperation for the sake of a shared cause.   These big feelings coming up may feel like a final straw, and uncomfortable enough to motivate us to finally have the courage to stand up and change.

Venus opposite Uranus:

Leading up to the full Moon, we may find a few monkey wrenches thrown into our lives…  This may feel like upheaval, and cause stress or tension… especially for relationships. Remember, this is an opportunity to clearly see the baggage we’’ve been dragging along, so that we can choose differently, and experience breakthrough!

Grand Trine in Water:

Venus in Scorpio Trine Mars in Cancer trine Neptune rx in Pisces.  With things heating up around the Full Moon,  a grand trine in water signs is a saving grace.  The cosmos is encouraging us… get to the water! Visits the streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans.  If you can’t, then hop in the bath, or a shower!  Run through the sprinkler in the yard!  Water is cooling, soothing medicine now. The idea here is to zoom out, see the bigger perspective, and find harmony.

A few more notes: With so many planets in the final degrees of the signs they occupy, this feels like a culmination… finishing something up!  Also… Aries/Mars energy loves action!  So it tends to instigate circumstances a little ahead of schedule. Hence the early-ish post.

Blessings All!  Sending Love your way!  Consider googling the word “tensegrity”.  A brilliant combination of tension and integrity, this concept feels pertinent to these lovely cosmic configurations.   Cheers!
