Musings On... the Full Moon in Aries

Remember waaaayyyyy back in February of this year (2/20) we had a Saturn/Neptune conjunction? We talked a lot about letting go of illusions (Neptune) and looking at things realistically (Saturn) so we can manifest our dreams (Neptune) into concrete reality (Saturn).
That conjunction really colored the first part of the year in a big way. It was in essence helping us to get clear on our larger goals, and giving us hints of the work that would need to be done to get there. A month later (April 17) we had a New Moon in Aries. New Moons mark the begining of a new lunar month. They also mark the beginning of a theme that will play out until the Full Moon in that sign months later. This is the bigger picture. And here we are, arriving at the Full Moon in Aries.
Preparing for this post, the first thing I noticed about this chart is that the Moon is placed right between Neptune and Saturn. It's reminding us of that conjunction earlier in the year. The second thing I did was go back and revisit the themes for the New Moon in Aries last Spring. I'll put that link here incase you want to revisit it yourself.
Naturally, I'm asking myself "what were my goals back then? What work have I done to achieve them? And the answer is... Wow! So much has happened. That feels like ages ago. There was work, and learning that I could not have anticipated. It was hard. And it's helped me become a version of myself that is so much closer to who I want to be in the world. This version of me is so much more capable of achieving my dreams than the old one. The person I was needed to change, to look realistically at matters, in order to grow so that my dreams could be more achievable. Of course I'm a work in progress, but I can look back and see this conjunction active in my life throughout this year. Can you? If you reflect on it?
What do you see clearly that you couldn't before? What habits and patterns changed? What blindspots became visible? What goals, relationships, aspirations, did you decide no longer fit you? What changed? And who are you now? How have you done Saturn in Aries? Stepping into a more mature version of yourself. What are you aiming for now? In what ways have you defined yourself, and your vlaues more clearly? When you are present with yourself, and when you look ahead, what are you looking at? (ya that's a lot, but it is a lot! It's big)
The Full Moon in Aries is asking us to put energy into bringing those goals into reality now. And it's gonna take courage, and some self-focus. (Aries stuff). Mars, ruler of this Full Moon, is in the last degree of Cancer, preparing to move into Leo. The movement is from a more inward, yin state, to a yang, or outward way of being. We're being asked to "live into" our lives... to fully live!
And... there's something about balancing the ways we've changed this year, with our core values. If we've recalibrated on some level... we are integrating the changes with our core values that are consistent.
Venus will retrograde on October 2. More on that to come, but we do know that Venus retrogrades give us a chance to look closely at our value systems.
By the way, Happy Equinox! When the seasons change, and we have equal day and night, themes of balance abound! This was exact a few days ago, on September 22, when the Sun moved into Libra. Happy birthday to all the beautiful Libras out there! We have much to learn from you about balance, equinimity, relationships, the value of beauty, and justice! More on this too when we have our New Moon in Libra on Oct. 10.
Of course there's more! But for now, these are the key takeaways I want to offer. And... I want to get this out sooner rather than later!
So here we go! Happy Full Moon in Aries!
With Love,
Elizabeth
