Ode To Venus, the Moon, Sagittarius, Pisces, and so on…
Blow the doors open, let the dust fly out on the breeze
Let the light in, energy release, I’ll sneeze
I can’t stay stagnant any longer
This beauty I crave is purposeful
To make my soul stronger
I’m longing for the soul of me
The heart inside i so adore
That loves Love and loves to love and
Always has room for more
Freedom from the tyranny my mind accepted as real
Because it's changing now
I felt frightened and tightened.
My soul is filing an appeal!
I cannot continue on in fear
It’s Beauty I need, that’s what’s real
Let is seep into my pores so that my soul can drink
Quenching a thirst that calls to Life
Come in! Come in! Fill me until I sink
Into the sea of God
The Spirit Divine
Intoxicate my soul, replenish my mind
I love you I love you ~ you are my God
Roses pink and Sun so Gold
Sacrament so Holy
I cup my hands and behold
Inhale, Inhale, until the essence of us is One
As without within

Poetry. The Mystical. Imagination. Creativity. The Spiritual. These are the themes of Pisces. Symbolized by the fish, and more so by the oceanic expanse. In Pisces times the water is a little bluer, seashells shinier, the breeze sweeter, the grass more lush… Nature has an otherworldly sparkle. It’s meant to set the imagination aflurry with creative impulses. A longing for something bigger than us, outside of us…something of the mystical realms.
With a new Moon in Pisces the numinous calls. The path forward leads us first inward, to the silent recesses of our souls. Meditation, stillness, silence, solitude. These practices carry us now, towards the learning we need.
To open to beauty and creativity is to open to the Divine. (aka Great Spirit, Creative Lifeforce, Love...translate into your own language). And from that zoomed out, lofty perspective, we realize that the great luminescense within is the same Love-force that pulses throughout the Universe.
Neptune rules Pisces. It is the part of our mind that can conceptualize these themes. It is our creative imagination… our “non-rational” mind. I like to say that we can access that part of our mind one of two ways: we can sit on the mountain top and meditate, or we can drink a six-pack and get wasted. Either way, we are occupying our non-rational mind! In Pisces, both of these options, (and the many variations of this analogy ) are available to us.
We can easily pass our time scrolling, netflixing… or otherwise “escaping reality”. I’m not suggesting we need to spend all of our time in the lotus position chanting OM!
And I am saying, that this is a wonderful opportunity to deepen whatever spiritual practice we find that opens our hearts, and strengthens our compassion. I am saying this is a fantastic time to pour yourself into whatever creative/artistic endeavors uplift your soul. That is spiritual medicine now!
And, its a fabulous time to rest. To let the focus be, not so much on ‘doing’, as it is on ‘BEING’. Pisces times are potent moments to receive a vision that will carry us forward into action. Dreams may be potent, and worth penning. Omens abound.
We are in a moment where the personal planets are all direct. (Mars just stationed direct, Venus and Mercury will soon station retrograde) We are in a moment before the Full Moon in Virgo comes with a total Lunar eclipse. Things are shifting, and we're likely approaching changes.
Here’s a moment here to receive a vision in our minds for what’s next, to feel the expanse of the Universe, around us and and within us, to merge with the Divine. In order for that to happen we need to be spiritually receptive. In order for that to happen we need to be feeding our Neptunian mental circuits. Conjunct the North Node of the Moon, this really is Spiritual rocket fuel right now! And with that said, I risk becoming redundant. So, I’ll leave you with a song.
